Chocolate Pecan Truffles #Christmas #Dessert

Pecan truffles are the appropriate no-bake dessert for the Kentucky Derby, Thanksgiving or Christmas! those chunk-sized treats flavor like chocolate pecan pie.
The Kentucky Derby is soon and to get people in the spirit I’ve made chocolate pecan truffles. Made with Kentucky bourbon, shortbread cookies, chocolate and pecans, these little bites flavor just like derby pie!


in case you’re unfamiliar with derby pie, it is basically a pecan pie with chocolate and Kentucky bourbon. it's miles notably decadent, which makes these truffles the appropriate serving length!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 5.3 oz (150 g) package pure butter shortbread cookies, crushed
  • 9 tablespoons (135 ml) heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) bourbon
  • 2 cups (250 g) finely chopped roasted, salted pecans
  • 12 oz (340 g) semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons (21 g) cold butter, cubed
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

INTRUCTIONS

  1. location chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. soften chocolate in microwave for 3 minutes on 50% electricity level, stopping to stir everything 30 seconds. Set apart to cool slightly.
  2. In a food processor, pulse shortbread cookies till they change into satisfactory crumbs. upload melted chocolate and pulse until mixed. upload heavy cream, bourbon and vanilla, and pulse until blended.
  3. cowl and relax three hours or till company. (combination may be organized and chilled up to two days ahead.)
  4. shape combination into 1-inch balls (about 2 teaspoons per ball). Roll in chopped pecans. area on wax paper-coated baking sheets. relax 1 hour. keep in an airtight field in refrigerator up to 5 days.
