Shrimp Boil Skillet

Shrimp Boil made in a skillet is an exciting twist on the classic! all of the incredible flavors of the traditional version but here you get even greater flavor thanks to the browning you get from a skillet. It’s so easy to throw collectively and you’ll love that it’s equipped right away!


Shrimp Boil Cooked in a Skillet!
As we realize the conventional shrimp boils are continually made in a pot, boiled in water but this model that’s made in a skillet is a lot higher! Plus you’ll love love the nutritious, colorful addition of spinach that you don’t typically get in a traditional shrimp boil.
this is a superbly hearty meal and it’s positive to please all shrimp fans!

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lb. baby yellow potatoes
  • 1 1/4 cups fresh corn or frozen, thawed corn
  • 2 tsp Old Bay seafood seasoning*
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 4 oz baby spinach (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp minced fresh parsley (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 large yellow onion, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 oz. turkey or chicken smoked sausage (I used Johnsonville Cajun Chicken Sausage), sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp butter, diced into small cubes
  • 3/4 lb large peeled and deveined shrimp
INTRUCTIONS


  1. place potatoes on a massive plate and microwave on high power for 2 mins. 
  2. flip potatoes then continue to microwave until simply gentle, about 2 mins longer (if they are not clearly small they'll take a bit longer. ensure they're soft at this point). allow cool barely then reduce in half of.
  3. in the meantime, warmth olive oil in a very huge non-stick skillet (at the least 12-inches and deep) over medium warmth. 
  4. upload onions and saute until soft, approximately 4 mins. Push onions over to the far side of pan, add in potatoes.**
  5. Season with salt and pepper and cook turning every so often, till lightly golden brown, about three minutes. Push potatoes to contrary side with onions.
  6. add sausage to different side of pan and cook dinner, tossing now and again till sausage is starting to brown slightly, about three minutes. Scoot sausage upload in garlic and saute 1 minute, or until lightly golden.
  7. add butter, shrimp and corn to skillet. Sprinkle in seafood seasoning and thyme and season with salt and pepper to taste (don't past due it with salt because the sausage is salty). 
  8. cook tossing every so often 2 minutes, then upload spinach and cook until spinach has wilted and till the shrimp is cooked via (it should be opaque all through). 
  9. Pour in lemon juice and toss. Serve warm garnished with parsley if favored
