This Avocado Hummus recipe is like guacamole and hummus in a single, and it is the smoothest and creamiest hummus recipe I’ve ever made! And the flavor unbelievably delicious! best for pita chips and greens, or use it as a selection on your preferred deli fashion turkey or veggie sandwich.
ingredients
- 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 clove garlic , peeled
- Red pepper flakes , for topping
- 3 Tbsp olive oil , plus more for serving if desired

- 2 medium ripe avocados , cored and peeled (13 oz before cored and peeled)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp tahini
- 1/8 tsp cumin

- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
instructions
- Pulse chick peas, olive oil, tahini, lime juice, and garlic in a food processor till easy, about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to flavor (I did a scant half tsp salt and about 1/8 tsp pepper), upload cumin and avocados and pulse mixture until smooth and creamy, approximately 1 - 2 minutes longer.
- Serve topped with extra olive oil if preferred and sprinkle with cilantro and red pepper flakes. Serve with pita chips or tortilla chips.
